# Be Prepared Today for a Better Tomorrow *“The future depends on what we do in the present.” — Mahatma Gandhi* Dear Students, Life brings both happiness and challenges. While we cannot control everything that happens, we can prepare ourselves to face tomorrow with confidence and courage. Sant Kabir beautifully reminds us: **“दुःख में सुमिरन सब करें, सुख में करे न कोय। जो सुख में सुमिरन करे, तो दुःख काहे को होय।।”** These lines teach us to remain grateful, sincere and disciplined not only during difficulties but also when life is going well. As a teacher, I often notice that students become serious about studies only when examinations approach. Suddenly, books are opened, timetables are prepared and promises are made to study regularly. Yet, once exams end, many of these promises are forgotten. Imagine instead studying a little every day, clearing doubts on time and revising lessons regularly. Would examinations seem so frightening? Certainly not! Preparation should not begin only when challenges arrive; it should be part of our daily lives. A sportsperson practises long before a competition, and a musician rehearses before a performance. Likewise, qualities such as patience, honesty, confidence and discipline cannot develop overnight. They grow through consistent effort. Marks matter, but the habits you build while earning them matter even more. Punctuality, sincerity, curiosity and the courage to learn from mistakes will guide you far beyond school. Being prepared does not mean worrying constantly about the future. It means using today wisely. Spend time with family, respect your elders, care for your health, read, learn new skills and help others. Small, regular actions can create remarkable change. Life may bring failures and unexpected turns. But a prepared mind, positive attitude and disciplined routine help us face them with strength. So, rather than asking, “What will happen tomorrow?” ask yourself, “What can I do better today?” Every lesson learnt, good habit formed and mistake corrected is an investment in your future. Remember: **“Success is not the result of what we do occasionally; it is the result of what we do consistently.”** Be grateful in happiness, courageous in difficulty and sincere in every effort. The best way to prepare for tomorrow is to give your best today. With blessings and best wishes, Dr. Viashali Ghai

What Is This Life, If Full of Care? Rediscovering the Art of Living in a World That Never Stops…. Dear Students “What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare?” — W. H. Davies, Leisure Dear Students, We live in an age where our days are filled with notifications, deadlines, endless scrolling and the constant urge to keep moving. We are so occupied with staying connected to the world through our screens that we sometimes become disconnected from the world around us. In the pursuit of achievements, we often overlook the little wonders that make life truly beautiful—the gentle rustle of leaves, the warmth of a genuine smile, the quiet comfort of a kind word or the silent suffering of someone who needs our help. Life, however, is not merely about being busy; it is about being meaningfully present. The true measure of a fulfilling life lies not only in what we accomplish, but also in what we appreciate, whom we help and what we leave behind in the hearts of others. India’s timeless cultural heritage reminds us that Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family—and Seva Parmo Dharma—service is a noble duty. These are not merely beautiful expressions to be recited on special occasions; they are values to be practised in everyday life. Respect for elders, compassion for the vulnerable, gratitude for what we have, humility in success, honesty in our conduct and kindness towards every living being are virtues that transcend generations. They are the invisible threads that hold humanity together. Dear students, let not the tides of time wash away these enduring values. Let technology empower you, but never let it consume your attention. Pause to admire a sunrise, listen patiently to your parents, offer a helping hand to a classmate, speak gently to someone who feels left out and stand up for what is right, even when it is not easy. Remember that kindness need not be grand, and goodness need not be announced. Often, the smallest acts of compassion leave the deepest impressions. As you prepare to build successful futures, remember that education is complete only when knowledge is enriched with wisdom, ambition tempered with integrity and success illuminated by sensitivity towards others. The world does not merely need accomplished individuals; it needs humane individuals who can make progress meaningful and prosperity compassionate. Let the pace of life never outrun the purpose of living. Make time to notice beauty, nurture goodness and serve humanity. For, when the noise of the world eventually fades, it is not the hours we spent scrolling or the applause we received that will define us, but the lives we touched, the values we upheld and the goodness we left behind. May you always have the wisdom to pause, the heart to care and the courage to remain true to the values that make us human. Best wishes

Dear Students, Every child has the potential to achieve something wonderful. The journey towards a bright future begins with the little habits we develop every day. Make reading a part of your daily routine. Books enrich your knowledge, strengthen your imagination and open doors to new possibilities. Use technology wisely and spend less time on screens. Instead, enjoy outdoor games, explore nature, pursue hobbies and spend quality time with family and friends. Develop the habit of being disciplined, punctual, responsible and kind. Be curious, ask questions, learn from your mistakes and never hesitate to try something new. Respect others, help those in need and always believe in yourself. Remember, education is not just about scoring good marks; it is about becoming a confident, thoughtful and compassionate human being. Dream big, read more, stay active and make every day count. The choices you make today will shape the person you become tomorrow! With best wishes, Monika Govil Primary Incharge

Namaskar, Dear Children, today, I Naveen Chatterjee, on behalf of Grey house, am going to share my views with you on ‘The Power of Timely Action and Defeating Procrastination’. One of the famous couplets of Kabir goes like this, “Kaal kare so aaj kar, aaj kare so ab; pal mein pralaya hoyegi, bahuri karego kab.” It reminds us that what needs to be done tomorrow should be completed today, and what is meant for today must be undertaken right this moment, for an opportunity once lost rarely knocks twice. Kabir offered the world a profound lesson in self-discipline and the true value of time. Let me begin with a familiar scene from our daily school routine to understand our collective habit. A classic scenario is managing our homework, projects, and revision. How often have we comforted ourselves with the thought, “I will start this chapter from next Monday,” or “The deadline is ten days away, I will manage it over the weekend”? We continuously push our duties ahead, assuming that tomorrow will somehow bring more energy and abundant time. But when tomorrow finally arrives, it simply becomes another today, and the cycle of delay begins all over again. Before we realize it, the deadline is staring us in the face, leading to late-night panic, stress, and rushed work that never truly reflects our real potential. If only we could tackle our daily lessons on the very day they are taught, when the concepts are fresh and our minds are clear, the fear of exams would vanish entirely. Success is rarely the result of a single overnight marathon; it is the quiet sum of small tasks finished on time. A farmer does not start plowing the field when the harvest is already due. You cannot dig a well when you are parched with thirst. Time is the only currency in life that cannot be saved in a locker for later; it must be invested wisely in the present. As Benjamin Franklin wisely observed, “You may delay, but time will not.” Therefore, if you wish to lead a life free of unnecessary anxiety and build lasting confidence, stop waiting for the ‘perfect’ moment. Take charge of your tasks today, start right now, and let your timely actions carve out the future you deserve. Best Wishes Naveen Chatterjee
